Orkney is leading Scotland in the adoption of electric vehicles, for both personal and business use. With over 70 electric vehicles in the county to date, OREF has started up a database for EV drivers in the area. The database will capture information on the number of electric miles travelled per month, and the subsequent saving in CO2 emissions and easing effect on Orkney’s grid. It will also provide the option to log any faults or problems, and demonstrate how viable EVs are in a rural setting like Orkney.

The database is open anyone who owns or leases an electric vehicle in Orkney, and you can sign up here or email [email protected] for more information.Electric vehicles, Old Academy, Stromness
